Halloween idea # 1

Welcome to October. Autumn is my favourite season of the year. For me, it conjurs up thoughts and memories of wonderful times, past and present. Halloween, harvest food and parties.

I thought I would start the month with a Halloween idea to help with your preparations. I am sooo excited that this year, I shall be hosting my girlfriend's day. We are known as the Kent Wives Association (KWA) and I can't WAIT to see their faces when they see what I have in store for them! *Cackles*.

Halloween idea # 1. Swamp Sips.

First, colour some sugar with a couple of drops of food colouring and stir to distribute the colour. Green is good for a green drink. Let the sugar dry. Dip the rims of glasses in a beaten egg white only, then dip the rims into the coloured sugar and leave to dry again. (Be aware that the egg white is raw.) Pour some homemade green smoothie into the glass, I will use Innocence banana free smoothie this year - it's a new variety. I called this drink 'Swamp Sips'!

This is an idea that I copied from the http://www.marthastewart.com/ website. There are some amazing craft/decor and food ideas on there.

I've noticed that there are more spider's webs this year than any other year. They fascinate me and are a work of art. Check in often to find out what 'treats' I have in store for my KWA day.
I love the vibrant orange of pumpkins at this time of year.

The following is a tag album I made for each of my 3 daughters a few years back. We had a family Halloween party and it was such fun.

Front cover. The actual album was made with just one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock, which I then folded.

I wrapped each album in black tissue paper and added googley eyes, Halloween ribbon and a tag attached with gauze.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Check in again soon for another Halloween idea and see how my preparations are coming along.

How fun! I have a busy Hallowe'en this year, the 2 Scrap Ladies event is on the day, so will probably be fit for nothing in the evening! Are you growing pumpkins?

That tag book is beautiful! I don't grow Pumpkins but I do get asked to do a lot of carving ... which I enjoy very much :0)
