Unidentified object in the sky!

The sun shone today....not at first and not for very long but I saw it - there in the sky! I know it's winter - still , and I know we should expect cold but I am allergic to cold.
So far, thankfully, I have managed to avoid any coughs and colds, or any other viruses and diseases!

My poor old mum (who will be 95 in May), had a fall almost 2 weeks ago and ended up in hospital. She had a UTI - Urinary Tract Infection which I imagine was the cause of her confusion and strange behaviour. It thus also caused her to black out. After a course of antibiotics and other treatments for minor ailments, she was well enough to go home on Sunday last week. She was home for just one hour and had to be re-admitted due to contracting the Norovirus in hospital. So, bored and fed up with herself, the ward and been closed for 72 hours and she has been subjected to no
visitors! If all is well, she may be home by this weekend. Please say a little prayer for her - Doris is her name.

It's been too cold to do any work on the allotment. I have been a couple of times, if only to shift barrow fulls of manure but that's another blog and story.

Tomorrow is my day with my friends - our KWA day. We have a fun time getting together every couple of months and enjoying havin' a larf!

Please visit my blog again and come see some photos of our day.

Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.

Toots for now,

Where's January?

I can't believe I haven't posted not even one entry during the month of January! Life has passed me by soo quickly. So much happened over Christmas and the New Year....like...all of my family were together for a not-so-often occasion. We enjoyed a visit to the carvery - all 14 of us, then it was desserts back at my home and present opening time - on 29th December - our Christmas Day.
Here's my sweet Little Miss Ashley - my youngest grandchild, enjoying her ice cream at the carvery.
Then all 6 grandchildren open a present together at home....
...and here....I open one of the best presents - a year's supply of Cadbury's drinking chocolate - and supply of biscuits - all in a beautiful hamper.
I made 4 desserts - each of my 3 daughters requests - one each of their favourites....Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding - made with brioche bread.Mmm.
Strawberry cheesecake with Mascapone cheese.
Strawberry mousse....
...and Sticky Toffee Pudding - not shown.
A good time was had by all and for now...I bid thee farewell. I promise not to leave it so long until the next post.
Toots for now and keep warm.
