Whilst visiting my father in law last weekend, I gathered the last of the blackberries there as by the time we go again, they will have gone! It really is one of my best loved summer things to do.My eyes widen when I see those black glistening berries.
On the outskirts of the blocks of flats, there are blackberry bushes galore and an apple tree at the end. I managed to find some windfalls - enough to have stewed apple and blackberries for dessert.
It's now officially autumn and I am getting my preparations ready for Halloween. I am going to be hosting my friend's day on 28th and I can't wait...I have a few 'tricks' up my sleeve. Call back to see what I am planning. It's gonna be a 'scream'!!

I love blackberries. I grew up in a village where they grew in abundance but have moved to a town where the only ones are covered in traffic fumes.
Oooh, that looks absolutely delish and takes me back to my childhood when we went blackberry picking... it must almost be time for you to get your 'butler' out of the closet isn't it??
Yum ...Love the mix of brambles and apples. It really does majic up memories.
