Girl's day out...and Cameron came too!

May is a time of celebration in our family. Birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Eden, who will be 11 in June wanted to celebrate her birthday with a 'girly' day in London, with a visit to the London Dungeon and then on to The Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. The day that we could all fit into our calendar happened to fall on Yasmin's birthday, so it was planned.
We all met up in London and awaited the last of us to arrive at Kings Cross station.
Of course, that is famous for the Harry Potter films and Cameron and Eden wanted their photo taken on Platform 9 3/4.

Hopping from one station to another, we got the tube to London Bridge.

Before.... Keeley opted out of the photo! ...and I opted not to go into the Dungeon!!

...After!
So while they were enjoying themselves....I took myself off for a riverside walk. It was such a beautiful day and I spent some time reminscing about my teenage years when I lived and worked in London.
A much needed ice cream on such a hot day.
After meeting up, we took the tube to Green Park to go to The Hard Rock Cafe. It's my very favourite restaurant - especially in Florida. There is such a buzz for me and I LOVE the atmosphere in there.
I don't drink alcohol, so I had a n/a Pina Colada - at £8 something, it was very expensive.

I had Mac Cheese with Chicken and Garlic Toast - except the toast wasn't that garlicy! It tasted good though.

Oh, this was sooo good. Chocolate Peanut Butter 'pie'!

Eden havin' a larf!

The photos came out quite yellow at times, so I changed them to black and white.

After feeling full, we decided to walk along to Buckingham Palace.
Along the Mall towards Buckingham Palace, I found a lovely 'badge'. It is gold in colour with a crown and a lion sitting on top, holding a wheel! It may have fallen off someone's jacket.

My beautiful daughters.

A fun day was had by all and the weather turned out very hot.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Toots for now.

Cameron looks like a young Harry Potter in that first pic at the station. I love all your photos, makes me feel like I'm wandering around London too! Thanks :o)
