A wonderful way to celebrate May Day you may think. However, for me, it conjures up memories of my lack of co-ordination and being upset that I messed up when it came to weaving the 'spider's web'!! Ugh!
I think the teacher may have gotten mad with me as I seem to remember that every Sunday evening for some time - (maybe possibly rehearsing the maypole dance on Monday mornings), I used to get a tummy ache so I didn't have to go to school. My mum soon sussed me out and eventually had to go to the school to sort things out! I have an uncomfortable feeling around that event. However, it also held happy memories as I did enjoy watching others - more than dancing. Now... country dancing - another activity we did at school ....that's another story...for another time.

Thank Heavens I wasn't the only one that was so un-co-ordinated that nobody picked me for their team!! LOL Schools have a lot to answer for...
