***HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON***

It was one of my grandson's birthday yesterday. He is now 11! Such a sweet spirit he has, I hope he doesn't lose it when he goes to 'big boy's' school next month!

When it comes to posing for photographs, there is only 1 of my 6 grandchildren who is not happy to do so. Yasmin however, was more than happy to pose to be on my family Christmas cards for this year. Watch this space!

Have a blessed day yourselves.

Treasures Of The Heart!

My 18 year old granddaughter Yasmin came to stay with me for a week recently. She loves scrapbooking and we found time to make a page. She likes to have a photo shoot when she visits to keep up to date with her fashion and bling! As usual, time was against us but we did get a few photo shoots in whilst she was here.

This is she with her cousin Cameron. All of my 6 grandchildren get on well together and look forward to each other's visits.
We took photos in the garden and I played with some of them and edited them for a change of the usual colour ones.

Yasmin has grown so much in confidence about herself. She trusts me to take photos of her and allows me to make judgement on whether she would like them or not.

I particularly like this one of her....I pushed the contrast up to get a different look.

We stayed the weekend at my eldest daughter's and enjoyed more photo opportunities.

I'm always game for a laugh and Lisa has a HUGE flower pot in her garden. I couldn't resist climbing into it for a pose with my appropriate attire!

Beebop little weed.....weeeed!!

I even got to accompany my grandson - 15 year old Jared who played guitar whilst I played on the drums! Yep! "I'm a hip old granny. I can hip-hop, bebop, dance 'til ya drop." (RW in Mrs Doubtfire).

I love my family.

Good times!

Going for bronze!

Three of my grandchildren have just returned from Menorca all bronzed and they certainly look like they have enjoyed themselves. I have missed them and am looking forward to seeing them all next month.

LOL @ Ethan's t-shirt. He and his mum bought it for their hols and she told him that I would LOVE it and I certainly do! He was the one that took most of the photos whilst away. He loves to use my camera when we are together and I can trust him with it as he has learned how to use it.
Posing Putters!

Cutie Patootie Miss Ashley.
The girls both had their hair plaited whilst on holiday. All I can say is....WISH I WAS THERE!

I hope the sun is shining for you all today.

Toots for now peeps.

Life's like that!

There I was....getting used to my new pc and functions, having to set new defaults etc. I had kept my emails 'as new', so as I could file them on my pc. So, I had spent quite a while making new folders and filing them. I then realised that 2 programmes weren't installed - MSN and Skype, so I re-installed them, only to be told that I had 'insufficient priveleges' - whatever that means. So, then I called the pc tech and he came over and spent one and half hours trying too! Nuffing! Once again, he took my new pc back to the hospital to inject more treatment to enable me to link up with family and friends.

When he returned with it, what I found is that the folders were missing which contained my latest emails! My new hard drive had been 'swept' and now I have lost all of my newly kept emails - as well as my hundreds that I kept for reference. Arrrgh! I HATE change when it means I don't get to choose whether I want to or not. I was told I cannot retrieve them.

I do have my 'old' hard drive but with only data on - photos and documents - not emails. Does anyone know if there is a way to retrieve my emails? I had sooo many with 'How to:', recipes, poems, quotes, links to my favourite blogs and more. Lots of thought promoting emails, emails from my family - grandchildren and friends that I wanted to keep - forever! I am now reluctant to file my emails into more new folders for fear of it happening again.....no trust in these 'wonder' machines!

Ok....let me pick up where I left off in a previous post. I tried to upload some pics to show but Blogger was playing up! Phew....give me a break...pleeeease.

This is a photo of one of my grandsons - He's just graduated from primary school and will be going to secondary in September - but....he is still only 10!! Bless him. He has done so well at school seeing that he lacks concentration.
Listen up and pay attention boy!
He made the hat at school and the scroll is a certificate.
We had a cake made for him....his favourite - fresh cream chocolate sponge sandwich. It was delicious.
His parents bought him a new watch....not that he needs a new watch! He collects objects d' art and has quite a collection of watches a la Dr Who but hey...it's well deserved.

So. I'm now hoping it's the end of my pc problems and that I shall be able to post more often according to time.

Toots for now.

God is good!

Sing Hallelujah! It's been 4 weeks since I had my own pc running and now I'm back online - at last. God has listened to my cries, moans, rants and pleas and decided I had waited long enough! I'm a happy girl.

So here I am blogging my little heart out. Trouble is, I have sooo many photos and happenings since 4 weeks ago that I don't know where to start!

I can now see just how sick my pc was. I never had a tool bar that was fully functional on Blogger! Nope....I learned what each icon was as I scrolled my mouse over the tool bar!

Let's begin with some photos of the Margate Big Event - or...what I call the air show!

Ok....so Blogger is playing me up now. I don't think it's funny. I have problems uploading my images.

I will just have to ramble on until they have sorted the problem, as it seems that some of you are also having problems.

Shame...I have some photos of my eldest daughter's 40th birthday. We celebrated by going to a 'posh' celebrity restaurant 'ABode' in Canterbury... FAB it was. I promise to post photos as soon as.

One of my grandsons - Cameron, had a school production last week. A Musical Mystery Tour. I had the most wonderful evening - entertained by his year - 6. They were fantastic and it's just as well we were in the last row at the back as I was up on my feet - beeping and a bopping to the sounds of Queen, The Beatles, The Blues Brothers and other songs through the years between 1938 and 2009. More photos of that to come.

I seem to have a 'thing' for poppies this year! I LOVE them. Again, more photos to come. It's been 10 months since I acquired my plot on my allotment. I have another blog to view for updates on my harvesting. The broad beans didn't do well. They were covered with blackfly but I have learned the secret to that....chop the top 3/4 inches off and eat the leaves. It's that which the blackfly are attracted to as they are sweet. My peas were a treat and 'Hellboy's' onions are a treat - as well as his first crop of Desiree potatoes.

I will sign out now and hope that this post will be saved. If not...up go more rants!!!

Toots for now peeps.

The Day The Music Died!

I've been doing a lot of crying, kicking and screaming lately! Huh! Fancy that...a grown woman, still making a scene because she doesn't get what she wants!! Well, I don't think it's too much to ask that I have a full working pc and access to the internet in these modern days. I miss my music. I listen to it during the evenings whilst reading up on your blogs.

It has now been over 3 weeks without my precious computer and I am finding myself getting more frustrated as each day passes. It all happened when I had a friend here who I was helping with her dad's 60th scrapbook album. I went to print something for her and my pc screen was blank and black! I knew something would be seriously wrong as I was finding more and more little things were gradually changing. Like for instance, on my blog, there has not been the little icons at the top of the posting page, so I guess where they are and have learned to work a blank tool bar! Same goes for my smiley drop down menu for my emails, it is just a highlighted blue drop down bar but no faces. I know exactly where each of them are and my 10 yr old grandson is amazed when he sees I can put the appropriate one alongside my emails. LOL.

PC World had a look at my pc to diagnose any serious illness but only prescribed a new tower. After a shakey beginning, with no confidence in their 'booking in' procedure and the customer advisor not even knowing how to turn the pc on - and then she didn't have the plug in!!! I began to lose faith in their surgery skills. It was reported that the problem wasn't the power unit, nor the graphics card! I was hoping it wouldn't be the hard drive. The 'technician' said it might be the motherboard and vertually told me he couldn't spare the time to check it all, a new one would be the better option!

I took my baby home, crying en route and sought a 2nd opinion. The little local pc shop has come to my aid before - several years ago and I asked for a quote for a new tower. A lot of money but I need a new one for sure. After I received the quote, I admitted my pc to their care and have been waiting eversince. It came back home on Saturday for a few hours, only to find out that the backlight in my monitor was at fault!! I had to have a new one! They only had a choice of 2 in store and I had to have one there and then to test the pc. I chose the widescreen which was the biggest screen - 19" but I HATE widescreen. There was a problem with installing AOL and other little niggles, so, back it went due to more configuration needed.

After more tests at the surgery, it has been diagnosed that my modem is at fault! "You're havin' a larf", I said. The bill has now risen 2 fold. I could have bought a whole new package for the price.

So I called AOL - only for them to tell me that my contract for the package I had with them 'ran out' in January this year! So why the heck could they not inform me! I have overpaid by £63 and if I hadn't called them re: a new modem, I would still be paying the same amount. So this lovely lady tells me I get a reduced monthly bill now and I don't have to pay for the phone which was £5.49 per month. Yayyy....at least I am better off by £10.50 per month. That's good news.

So, here I am, waiting for my new router to arrive and hoping that it won't be too long before I can post photos, listen to my music and get surfing on my own pc. Say a little prayer for me will you? I'll try to be good today and not throw any tantrums, honest!

Toots for now,

*Happy Birthday* to a Rockstar!

Ten! Ten! That's how old you are going to be Eden and I find it hard to believe. You have grown into a beautiful sweet spirit and I LOVE being in your company. We always have such fun together and on this occasion, I enjoyed listening to you play your pink guitar.
