Ruby, Ruby part ll

There was a fair with a big wheel...that is what my husband and I went on the first time we actually met!

A big slide...
A roller coaster ride...
...and a merry-go-round.
There were more stalls - some with food and others
selling their wares.
A hog roast...
On our way around the park...I met a new little friend. This ice rink was really quite large and I really wanted to skate on it ...for old time's sake, as my husband and I used to go ice skating when we were 15, so it was a very nostalgic day. I also had my long dress on - not really appropriate attire for ice skating!
We left the park to go for dinner...passing this black telephone kiosk en-route which is something I haven't seen before.
Ahhh... one of my favourite places to eat - The Hard Rock Cafe.
I chose a chargrilled chicken breast on Mac cheese with garlic bread.
I must say, I wasn't impressed with the 'rock' music. It sounded like a lot of noise...and I LOVE my music. I wasn't convinced it was because I am getting 'old'! Usually, there are bands like Queen, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springstein but ...hmm...peeps I had never heard of or seen before!

I asked the waitress if there were videos they use and she said the music was all 'piped' from US!

I said to my husband..."I wish they would change it to the Beatles or those we know". He replied..."The Beatles aren't rock!"

Huh! I was having none of it.....Yeahhhh....who came on just as he had finished speaking?...

Hahahaa....I was in my element! LOL. Now I enjoyed my dessert. Hot chocolate fudge brownie with walnuts, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry on the top. Yum.

A truly satisfied customer. I don't settle for 'no'!

We tootled off back to the park - making our way home slowly and seeing the sights of London.

The big wheel in the park looked pretty lit up...
...and Queen Bodaecea.
Travelling to Piccadilly and taking some photos of the lights...
Ending up in Trafalgar Square, listening to carolers singing by the HUGE Christmas tree.
A fun day was had by all and just to remind us of when we first met...we saw a # 53 bus which we used to get on to go to school.
Us - then...when we were 16...
and now...
